An open-source application for first-principles calculation based on pseudo- potential and real-space basis. It performs electronic-state calculation such as band calculation of solids and structure optimization for a variety of physical systems. The method of time-dependent density functional theory (TDDFT) is implemented, which allows simulation of dynamical phenomena with real-time evolution of electronic states, such as chemical reaction and electronic response to time-dependent external fields. Comes with detailed tutorials and comprehensive manuals.
An open-source first-principles calculation library for pseudopotential and all-electron calculations. One of or a mixture of Gaussian and plane wave basis sets can be used. A lot of the development focuses on massively parallel calculations and linear scaling. The user can choose various calculation methods including density functional theory and Hartree-Fock.
A general-purpose open-source application for classical molecular dynamics simulation, distributed under the GPL license. This package can perform molecular dynamics calculation of various systems such as soft matters, solids, and mesoscopic systems. It can be used as a simulator of classical dynamics of realistic atoms as well as general model particles. It supports parallel computing through spatial divisions. Its codes are designed so that their modification and extension are easy.
Open-source package for molecular dynamics simulation designed for biological macromolecules. This package can perform molecular dynamics simulation of biological macromolecules such as proteins, lipids, and nuclear acids as well as solutions by controlling temperature and pressure. This package can treat long-range interaction and free energy, and is designed for parallel computing.
An application for calculating transport coefficients based on the Boltzman equation. Within the relaxation time approximation, transport coefficients such as the Hall coefficient and the Seebeck coefficient can be evaluated from the output of the first principles calculation applications (Wien2k, ABINIT, SIESTA, quantum ESPRESSO, VASP). If users can measure relaxation time experimentally, electric conductivity can also be evaluated.
An open-source application for molecular simulations. This application supports various methods such as classical and ab initio molecular dynamics, path integral simulations, replica exchange simulations, metadynamics, string method, surface hopping dynamics, QM/MM simulations, and so on. A hierarchical parallelization between molecular structures (replicas) and force fields (adiabatic potentials) enables fast and efficient computation.
OCTA is an integrated simulation system for soft materials developed by the joint project of industry and academia funded by Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry(METI), Japan. OCTA consists of four simulation engines named COGNAC(Molecular dynamics simulation), PASTA(rheology simulation), SUSHI(mean field theory), MUFFIN(continuum theory) and a simulation platform (GOURMET).
A program for generating maximally-localized Wannier functions from results of first-principles calculation. This program supports Quantum Espresso, abinit, SIESTA, FLEUR, Wien2k, and VASP. It can also calculate electrical conductivity and material properties related to the berry phase from the obtained MLWFs.
